Water Technology Engineering Ltd. are a Yorkshire (Foggathorpe) based company with 50 years drainage experience and 20 years in rainwater harvesting. We are a family company with all members involved in the business.
We used to market German rainwater harvesters but that was when they were supplied as one-piece tanks. For ease and cost of shipping, the German Companies began to manufacture them for the UK market in two halves, as many sections could be stacked one on top of each other, like eggboxes, in the container and the shipping cost was vastly reduced.
Unfortunately, we then relied on the customers' groundwork contractors to put the two halves together and waterproof seal them on-site - a job that was too often given to unskilled labourers with disastrous results. In any case, seals do not last forever and leaks from underground tanks are difficult to detect and impossible to repair.
Thoroughly dissatisfied with the concept, unable to compete if we imported the one-piece tanks still supplied for Germany and knowing that there were other aspects that we would like to change, we decided to manufacture our own one piece construction rainwater harvester tanks under the brand name OASIS.
Given the chance to design a system from scratch, we simplified the whole concept, took the best ideas from all the rainwater harvesting systems available, added many of our own, eliminated all the complicated unnecessary electronics and now produce what we believe to be the simplest, most reliable rainwater harvesting system on the market. OASIS tanks have a 30 year warranty.
